Mapped Drive access is slow (Windows)

Try one of the two suggestions below:

Turn off Internet Explorer's automatic proxy settings detection.

In Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu, then click Internet Options.
Select the Connections tab.
Click the LAN Settings button.
Uncheck the “Automatically detect settings” box.
Click OK until the Internet Options are closed.

OR

One may see some performance issues with Mapped Drive when Google Chrome is set as the default browser for the computer.

If you find issues with performance and have this setup, please try changing the default browser from Google Chrome to Internet Explorer or Firefox.

For Internet Explorer:


Go to Tools. Click on Internet Options.

Go to the Programs tab and select the checkbox for ' Always check to see if Internet Explorer is set as the default browser' Then click on OK.  You will be prompted to set Internet Explorer as the default browser. please click on OK.

For Firefox:


Go to Tools. Click on Options. In the Advanced section, go to the General tab and check the box which reads 'Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser at Startup'. Then click on the button which reads 'Check Now'. Click on OK to set Firefox as the default browser.

You should see an improvement in the performance once you do this.
