TIP: Windows Easy Transfer Wizard (get all your files)

In order to make sure you get all you data on to the new computer, especially email, make sure that hidden files on the old computer are showing or the application data will not move with the transfer.

 

In XP : go to control panel, switch to classic view, go to folder options, go to the view tab, and check show hidden files and folders.

In VISTA: go to control panel, go to appearance and personalization, the folder options, go to the view tab, and check show hidden files and folders.

In WINDOWS 7: go to control panel, go to appearance and personalization, the folder options, go to the view tab, and check show hidden files and folders.

OR

VISTA and WINDOWS 7: go to start menu, in the search bar type "folder options", click on folder options, go to the view tab, and check show hidden files and folders.
