Redirect OWA as default IIS Page

Instead of having users type https://mail.domain.com/OWA you can have them just type https://mail.domain.com to take them to the same place.

1.

Install HTTP Redirect Feature

Open Server manager,
Go to roles
Scroll down to IIS
Click Add Role Services
Check HTTP Redirection and install it.

2.

Redirect HTTP from Default website to OWA.

Open IIS Manager
Click Default Web Site
Highlight and open The HTTP Redirect Feature
Check the Box, "Redirect Requests"
Enter the path to your OWA eg https://mail.domain.tld/owa
Click Apply.

Conclusion

There are a number of tricks that can be done here. But the guides I looked at failed to mention step number 1 I put in. All works well if this is followed.
